No Hassle Return and Exchange Policy

Every items purchased at XCSkiStore.com is a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you need to return or exchange an item we want to make it as easy as possible for you to do so. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase please let us know. We will do what we can to make it right. We accept returns of new, unwashed, unworn, unused or defective merchandise. Our return policy conditions are itemized below.


Please call us first or email us at julie@xcskistore.com if you wish to exchange or return an item so we can facilitate this for you.

  • We gladly accept returns on unused items returned within 30 days of the original order date (with the exception of orders placed between November 1st and December 31st which may be returned until January 31st). We do not accept returns after this period. We do not accept returns after this period. All returns are for credit via the original method of payment.
  • We do not accept returns on used products, special orders or customized merchandise. See disclaimer below on used products.
  • We will only accept returns that have been approved either by direct contact with a XCSkistore.com web representative. All credits will be processed within 2-3 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) upon receipt of your product(s). Credits are the original purchase price less original shipping and, in some cases, a restocking fee (see below). Customers are responsible for all shipping charges back to us. In the event of an error on our behalf we will provide a pre-paid return label via-email for return shipment.
  • The items must be in their original packaging and in new condition along with all paperwork, tags, parts, boxes and accessories. All items must be returned in the shipping box/material they arrived in. Item returned without the original manufacturer's packaging, or damage or torn packaging will be subject to a 25% restocking fee per item. Do not throw away any packaging, labels or invoices until you are completely satisfied with the products you ordered.
  • Clothing items must be unworn with all original hang tags still attached. Packaging must be in original condition upon receipt.
  • There are no returns on Closeouts. If you have purchased a sale item or closeout and found that it is the wrong size we will exchange it for a different size. The replacement is only good with like models and is subject to availability. The exchange must be made within 30 days of the original purchase.
  • Returns of mounted skis or cut ski poles will be charged a 25% restocking fee.
  • Please include with your return a copy of the original invoice. Please write the word "Return" or "Exchange" on the invoice.
  • XCSkiStore.com reserves the right to refuse a return if any of the above criteria are not met.

Exchanging Item Procedure:

When you want to exchange an item place a new order online for the new product(s) and mail the original product(s) back to us (after you notify us) and we will mail out the exchange and credit/debit your card once we receive your original product(s).

Call us and we can do the exchange paperwork over the phone.


Used Item Disclaimer & Definition

Used items are NOT Returnable, Exchangeable nor Refundable. No exceptions. All item(s) that we ship are brand new and in unused condition. We suggest that clothing, boots, and the like be tried on indoors on a clean, padded surface to ensure proper fit before using them. This will preserve the new unused condition of the items should you choose to return them. Skis or poles that have been used on the trails, once taken out are considered used, so we suggest you not do this.

We do not differentiate between slightly used, well used or very used. Any item(s) which comes back to us in a condition that cannot be resold as new are considered USED. We will contact you to let you know so we can either ship the item(s) back to you at your expense or donate them locally.

Clothing returned without a tag is considered used. Do not remove any tags from clothing items. When returning the item, make sure the box is water tight so that it does not arrive stained due to shipping procedures. Any clothing sent back that is soiled, stained or dirty will be considered used. If you receive an item that you believe is used call us right away. Some product may have been displaced in our Mammoth Lakes retail store, and because the product(s) may have been tried on or displayed in one of these stores the packaging may look worn. We will generally ask that you send a few pictures of the product(s) to us. If we shipped you a used item we will pay to get the used product(s) back to us and reship you a brand new item as soon as possible!!
